Education & Credentials

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (NJ lic. #37FI00246100)

Specialties

Destiny works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, panic disorder, substance use disorder, low self-esteem, negative self-talk, and relational issues. Her training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), sand tray therapy, and specialized work with families of LGBTQ adolescents navigating coming out, transition, and family support. She has a particular passion for helping families and individuals navigate racial and cultural barriers through systemic change. As a woman of color, Destiny finds deep meaning in supporting BIPOC clients and empowering them in their healing journeys.

Destiny believes that human purpose is rooted in our ability to feel connected to ourselves and to others. Her own experiences in therapy taught her that vulnerability is not a weakness but a profound strength, and that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and valued. She is committed to helping individuals, couples, and families rediscover that sense of connectedness and wholeness.

Why She Chose This Work

Destiny’s style is warm, compassionate, and understanding, yet gently challenging. She incorporates DBT-focused interventions, solution-focused therapy, narrative family therapy, and structural family therapy, adapting her methods to each client’s needs. Guided by the philosophy of “come as you are,” she creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can share their stories at their own pace—recognizing that healing is never linear, and that’s okay.
