Johanna is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity, and emotional well-being. Her experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families in both educational and community-based settings, along with her previous work as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist supporting children and young adults on the autism spectrum, has further shaped her passion for providing compassionate, individualized, and inclusive care.
Johanna has always been passionate about meeting people where they are: mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. She believes that everyone deserves a space where they can show up authentically, feel heard without judgment, and work through life’s challenges with support and compassion.
Her background in social work, education, chaplaincy, and ABA therapy has deepened her belief in the importance of walking alongside others through both challenging and transformative seasons of life.
Johanna approaches therapy through a trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based lens. She recognizes that every person’s experiences, identities, relationships, and environments shape the way they move through the world. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Johanna works collaboratively with clients to identify their needs, build upon their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Above all, she strives to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, genuine, culturally responsive, and welcoming.
Outside of the therapy room, Johanna enjoys trying new restaurants and coffee shops, working out, and traveling. She loves discovering random fun facts and is also a big bird lover! She values community, meaningful connections, and finding joy in both new experiences and the little things in everyday life.
