Katie works with children, teens, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. She is especially passionate about empowering clients to see their own strengths and supporting them as they work toward their personal goals.
Katie has always been someone others turn to for support and a listening ear. Her drive to help others, combined with her passion for reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, naturally led her to the counseling field. She considers it a privilege to connect with clients and walk alongside them in their healing journey.
Katie believes that the therapeutic alliance is one of the most important parts of the healing process. She works to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel cared for and supported. Her style is empathetic and encouraging, while also gently challenging. She frequently integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the client. Above all, her goal is to help clients hold on to hope and recognize their capacity for change.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys crochet and is rarely without an iced coffee in hand.
